Key 13: Death (Transformation & Renewal)
The law of constant change. Represents the perpetual dissolution of old forms to release energy for new growth. It is not a final end, but a necessary clearing of the ground so that creative imagination can build something new.

Key 14: Temperance (Verification & Testing)
The alchemical trial. An angel pours fluid between two cups, symbolizing the exact modification and balancing of forces within your personality. Represents the process of testing your insights through practical experience to find perfect equilibrium.

Key 15: The Devil (The Illusion of Bondage)
Misconception. Represents the laughter-inducing delusion that humanity is permanently bound by material circumstances or an outer force. The chains around the figures' necks are loose; they can slip them off at any time.

Key 16: The Tower (The Overthrow of Error)
Clearing the false structure. The lightning bolt of truth strikes a structure built on a false foundation (the isolation of the ego). Represents the sudden, jarring breakdown of old, rigid beliefs and habits to pave the way for illumination.

Key 17: The Star (Meditation & Insight)
The waters of life. The naked figure pours the waters of consciousness onto both land and sea, representing the effortless flow of the subconscious when it is properly nourished by regular meditation. Evokes hope and clear vision.

Key 18: The Moon (The Evolution of Organisms)
The path of return. Represents the long, evolutionary journey of consciousness rising from the deep waters of the subconscious (the crayfish) onto the path of physical and spiritual development. Governs bodily changes required for higher awareness.

Key 19: The Sun (The Regenerated Life)
Spiritual rebirth. The ultimate symbol of solar energy, vitality, and light. Two children dancing in a walled garden represent the perfectly balanced self-conscious and subconscious minds operating in pure joy and complete liberation.

Key 20: Judgement (The Realization of Freedom)
The new consciousness. Represents the awakening of the dead—the transition from a material-bound existence to a realization of eternal life. The angel's trumpet represents the cosmic vibration that activates higher spiritual senses.
